If you take a look at how many DIY (do it yourself) brides are out there now a days your first inclination would be that they're trying to save money. WRONG! Well, not completely I guess. During a recent survey we asked brides whether money was the deciding factor when it came to buying or not buying wedding services.
Do you know what the results of the survey was? 82% said that it was because they wanted to personalize their experience and that it had nothing to do with money. Surprised? I certainly was. If you think about it though with a wedding being the most important day of a girls life..one that she's been planning since childhood you can imagine why she'd want to be hands on and really make the day her own.
What does this information have to do with you? Find ways to adapt your own products and services to accommodate her desire for the personalized experience. For example, there's a wedding aisle runner company who has started creating personalized aisle runners for couples....and they charge in the range of $700 for them. They have a million dollar company simply because they found a way to monopolize on the DIY bride.
Take a minute now and think about how you too can personalize your services or products to accommodate the DIYer bride and then let us know about it.
I have to agree. This is true because brides these days realize that with the options in vendors out there now they can wheel and deal anyways...so it's the ones that are going to giver her the extra attention that they're going to buy from.
