#1 business mistake you can make on Facebook

I absolutely loved this video from Jason Falls on Facebook Fan Page Mistakes.  He hits it spot on...don't talk about yourself so much.  Jason says, "People care more about what you know than who you are." 

I'm sure you can think of someone in your life who talks, talks, talks..about themselves and how annoying it gets.  Do you seek them out or shy away from them?  Probably shy away right?  That's what will happen if you talk too much about yourself or how great your wedding company is on Facebook and your wedding blog.  Brides want to know what you know that will make their wedding better...that's it!  They don't care about you and even though it may be hard to swallow it's true.


Falls suggests the following ways to approach your company's Facebook page so that fans flock to you not away from you:

1) Ask interesting questions.

2.) Share links to interesting content.

3.) Encourage your fans to share pictures, videos or experiences that relate to your brand.
